Sedgefield College Student Wins Local Finals of Springboard Future Chefs

A student from Sedgefield Community College has been crowned winner of the local Springboard FutureChefs finals for County Durham and Teesside and will now go on to represent the region at the regional final in Sheffield.

Springboard FutureChefs is a nationally recognised competition designed to inspire young people to develop professional culinary skills and explore careers within the hospitality industry. Success at the local stage reflects a high level of technical ability, creativity and commitment.

The regional final is a prestigious event, drawing competitors from a wide area ranging from Sheffield to the north of Scotland. Finalists will cook in front of professional Michelin-starred chefs and industry specialists, supported by major national sponsors.
